Kubli Bistro

Quiet, relaxing atmosphere. Adequate parking, attentive and organized staff. Enjoyed my food, but won't wake up in the middle of the night craving for it. Good, steady fare, a little bit hit or miss. The ceviche - refreshing mouthful served with what they called tortilla chips but tasted like wonton chips. The paella like dish I ordered was great - seafood toppings tasted fresh and cooked, seasoned perfectly. The fish and chips had good fish but an abundance of paper thin, crispy but absolutely bland tasting chips. When people leave chips on the table, you know it's bad. Last call for orders at 8:30pm, but the place serves drinks until 10pm. Cocktails are decent, but highly recommend the one they call Waves after Waves.

Great place, it was air-conditioned inside and the place looks great. The service was quick since we came before the peak hours, staff was very friendly and were all smiles. The food was amazing everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned, would recommend their Lechon con Tokwa, the lechon was perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside together with the sweet soy based sauce, and Seafood Gambas, I can't get enough of their seafood in their sweet and umami rich sauce. All in all, had a wonderful experience at the best restaurant in Baler, definitely coming back again.

This is our first time dining here at Kubli. We used to pass by this a lot when in Baler and finally decided to give it a shot. The ambiance at night is really good. They have a newly opened Al Fresco dining area and an airconditioned one. They are the only restaurant we have dined at in Baler that has AC. I have also read so many good reviews here in google so my expectation was above average. The mango shake came first and it was on a very tall glass. Tasted like normal mango juice. We ordered sinigang na hippn, binusog na pusit and seafood gambas. ❌ binusog na pusit - i hated it. The finely chopped fish and veggies was disgusting, atleast for the texture. It was super duper sticky, the kind that sticks to your palates. As for the taste, I didn’t like it. It has a weird flavor. Even after removing the stuffings, i still couldn’t eat the squid. They should have just sticked with the usualy kamatis sibuyas etc. ❌ seafood gambas - now this was another disappointment. The seafood was swimming in what I believe is Tomato-based sauce. Tasted like the canned seafood you can buy in the grocery stores. 😑 Sinigang na Hipon - very basic. Nothing special. You can get this typical sinigang at your local carinderia. Overall, it was a bad experience for us. We were hoping for a good dinner to cap off our last night in Baler. We will definitely not go here again for dinner. Drinks and cocktails perhaps we can give it a shot.

Good food and service plus very friendly staff. I love the ceviche, ordered it three times. Try the kabute and aglio olio pastas, really yummy! The serving is enough to make you full and to share with family. No need to worry about the parking, the have a spacious parking and al fresco if you are a big group. Really a must try when in Baler!

This is one of the very few restaurants in Baler that has AC and serves really good food! Many restos which previously had good reviews are actually already closed or must not have been able to maintain their quality due to low tourist turnout. Kubli Bistro was our last stop in our 4-day trip, and it did not disappoint! The service was also excellent with highly attentive staff. Top reco for Baler 👍
